Desk Bell and 15" Ruler - Vintage

$150.00Price
  • One would automatically assume these were from a school and/or teacher, however they belonged to a talented tailor up until the 1930s. The bell sat on the counter for his customers, and the ruler was used in the back work room. It's interesting that the ruler was a Polarine gasoline wood measuring stick. Since cars didn't have fuel gauges in the 20's (1920), this measuring stick was inserted directly into the fuel tank to see how many gallons were in the tank. Instead of the tailor using it for a car he coud not own, he used it for his tailor shop.

After a long investigation we believe his energy is attached to both items because of his sentimental attachment of his lifetime work.

We acquired these items together, so they'll be sold as a pair. Every so often, the bell will ring ever so lightly, letting the owners know of its presence.
